Pretty darn cool.

Hidden gems all through the image as well! So far I’ve found Richard Simmons, Herbie the Love Bug, The Kardashian Sisters, Abe Vigoda and William Hung.

How many more can you find?

Images from Pixar’s “Brave”

March 28, 2011 Leave a comment

I’m sure you’ve probably seen these images from Pixar’s upcoming, “Brave,” by now. Try to show anyone on the internet something, and they claim to have already seen it, on average around 20 minutes before it was ever even posted.

From what I can gather, the film centers around Prop-Comic, Carrot Top, as he attempts to cross the dreaded Sparkly Swamp.

I could be way off on this, and according to Entertainment Weekly, I most certainly am:

Brave is set in the mystical Scottish Highlands, where Merida is the princess of a kingdom ruled by King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson). An unruly daughter and an accomplished archer, Merida one day defies a sacred custom of the land and inadvertently brings turmoil to the kingdom. In an attempt to set things right, Merida seeks out an eccentric old Wise Woman (Julie Walters) and is granted an ill-fated wish. Also figuring into Merida’s quest — and serving as comic relief — are the kingdom’s three lords: the enormous Lord MacGuffin (Kevin McKidd), the surly Lord Macintosh (Craig Ferguson), and the disagreeable Lord Dingwall (Robbie Coltrane).

New “Cars 2” Poster

March 22, 2011 Leave a comment

Somehow I get the feeling that Pixar is really wanting to drive the point home that “Cars 2” is no longer confined to just the cute little town of Radiator Springs…

Why am I the only one asking where the hell Sally is in all of this? I need to know why she is no longer the “nut” to McQueen’s “lug.”

New Cars 2 Trailer

A brand new trailer for “Cars 2” has been posted.

Every Christmas, my Grandma makes a new dish for Christmas dinner, and every year it looks questionable at best. Yet when we all sit down to eat, everyone tries it, and we always wind up enjoying every last bite.

“Cars 2” feels like a dish my Grandma would make for Christmas dinner, but with far less cat hair.

While We Were Out

Here is a quick rundown of things we missed while out:

Pixar’s “Toy Story” won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song, but lost out to “The King’s Speech” for Best Picture. In any case, a huge congratulations goes out to the gang at Pixar for their accomplishments, and here is to many more!

– And speaking of Pixar; the film that John Lasseter apparently tried to have cancelled, “Gnomeo and Juliet” was the #1 film at the Box Office this past weekend, and now sits at around $75 million in domestic sales. Even with this figure in place, I’m still not so sure I don’t agree with Mr. Lasseter.

– You know what else happened? Not much really. I guess I picked a good week to be out.

Pixar’s Hawaiian Vacation

Please stop sending me the link to the scans for Pixar’s “Hawaiian Vacation” short that will air before “Cars 2.” It’s not that I don’t appreciate it, but I just don’t know that concept art showing the “Toy Story” characters in Hawaiian gear is all that interesting.

I’m sure it will be great, but until some proper screencaps hit from the actual short, or a bit more is revealed, outside of Gary Rydstrom Directing, let’s focus on more important things.

Like when that damn “Hoodwinked” sequel is coming out.

A brand new “Cars 2” TV spot is out, and it features bidet humor! Intrigued? You darn right you are. Just click the brand-spankin’-new image below to check the spot out.

If I can find a solid YouTube version that allows for embedding, I’ll update this post. In related news: If I can find a suitable replacement for “Gogurt,” I’ll update this post as well.
