While We Were Out

Here is a quick rundown of things we missed while out:

Pixar’s “Toy Story” won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song, but lost out to “The King’s Speech” for Best Picture. In any case, a huge congratulations goes out to the gang at Pixar for their accomplishments, and here is to many more!

– And speaking of Pixar; the film that John Lasseter apparently tried to have cancelled, “Gnomeo and Juliet”¬†was the #1 film at the Box Office this past weekend, and now sits at around $75 million in domestic sales. Even with this figure in place, I’m still not so sure I don’t agree with Mr. Lasseter.

– You know what else happened? Not much really. I guess I picked a good week to be out.

Gnomeo & Juliet in Theaters Today!

Since you’re just sitting around waiting for “Hoodwinked Too!” to come out, why not take in a screening of “Gnomeo & Juliet”?

It’s in 3D, so it just has to be good!

The film actually isn’t fairing too poorly with the critics, and is currently at a 52% on Rotten Tomatoes. More importantly than what the snobholio (yes I made that awesome word up) critics have to say however is the 73% audience approval rating.

Not bad for a film that seems to have been born out of a pun.
