“Angry Birds” and “Rio” Join Forces

January 29, 2011 Leave a comment

This is probably the coolest mashup you’ll see in a while, and the best part is that it’s actually going to be released! “Angry Birds,” the hit mobile game, and “Rio,” the upcoming Blue Sky feature release, are teaming up for “Angry Birds Rio,” and the trailer can be seen below:

It’s pretty crazy to consider that this is arguably more beneficial to the “Rio” camp than it is to the “Angry Birds” camp, considering that “Rio” is an unproven property and “Angry Birds,” on the other hand, has sold enough copies to fund a Charlie Sheen bender.

In any case, I can’t get enough of “Angry Birds,” and I’m very much looking forward to “Rio,” so I’ll be downloading this bad boy on day one!

MSN Exclusive “Rio” Clip

MSN posted a brand new clip from Blue Sky’s upcoming “Rio” today.

The embedding doesn’t seem to be working for MSN’s player, so just hit this link or click on the image above.

It really doesn’t show much about the film’s actual plot, but does highlight the fantastic bird designs and amazing eye candy in general.

It also highlights that there is a section of the world in which millions of birds live and never poop. I need to find this jungle so that I can start parking my car there.

Rio Trailer 2

I was a bit hard on Blue Sky in my last post, so I would like to point out that I am excited to see “Rio.”

I just hope if it does well it doesn’t spawn a time bending sequel…

That Ice Age 4 Trailer

I was sent the latest “Ice Age” teaser a few times, and I’m still not sure what to think of it.

Outside of the human designs, I quite enjoyed the first film in the series. However by the third, polar opposite to the “Toy Story” franchise, the bloom was most certainly off of the glacial rose.

This trailer is yet more of the same, and though well-animated, I’ll have to reserve judgement on the actual film.
